WHAT IS TRIPLE P?

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program ® is a parenting and family support system designed to prevent, as well as treat, behavioural and emotional problems in children and teenagers. It aims to prevent problems in the family, school and community before they arise and to create family environments that encourage children to realize their potential.

Triple P helps parents with:

  • Building positive family relationships
  • Teaching children and teens new skills & behaviours
  • Managing problem behaviours
  • Planning ahead to avoid or manage potentially difficult situations
  • Learning skills for self-care and how to cope with stress
  • Addressing concerns with anxiety, co-parenting, and strong emotions
  • Using strategies that are positive and effective
  • Taking the guess work out of parenting!

ASCEND Family & Parenting Support offers a variety of programs:

Primary Care Triple P—4-sessions parenting children (0-12)

Primary Care Teen Triple P—4-sessions parenting teenagers

Standard Triple P—10-sessions parenting children (0-12)

Standard Teen Triple P—10-sessions parenting teenagers

Triple P Online —with Practitioner support (flexible option)

FEAR-Less Triple P —Helping children & teens manage anxiety

Enhanced Triple P—Parent practice,  partner support, or coping skills

Pathways Triple P—Tools to manage the feeling of anger

Family Transitions—Parenting through separation or divorce
