About Us
Accredited Supports to the Community (ASC) is a not-for-profit charity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. ASC has about 130 people on staff that serve over 1,500 people a year. Our head office is in Olds, Alberta. There are also satellite offices in Airdrie, and Strathmore, Alberta.
In 2024, Accredited Supports to the Community celebrates 50 years of serving our communities.
ASC provides community services in the following core areas:
- Community Disability Services for adults with developmental disabilities to live and engage in community.
- Supported Employment Services for people with disabilities to gain and maintain employment.
- Connect Seniors Supports provides companionship, community connections and incidental supports for adults 55-plus.
- Family Support for Children with Disabilities provides respite, outreach services, and behavioural and developmental aid for children with special needs and their families.
- Healthy Families, a home visitation service that helps new parents provide a nurturing environment for their families.
- Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is a parenting and family support system designed to help children to realize their potential.
- Reaching Home, a community-based program that aims to reduce homelessness through immediate intervention and long-term solutions. The program is part of Canada’s Homelessness Strategy.
- ASC operates the Olds Bottle Depot as a social enterprise to support the non contract funded operations.
